Fall Festival

We had a great time at Fall Festival
the pictures just don't do it justice, but here are a few...

Mary Beth and Brennan sitting in a bouncy thing...
neither one knew what to do

Sooo ready...

"No Progress"
seems to be the theme of my last few doctors appts
At 34 1/2 weeks I was having contractions, but then they stopped
and now, nothing... I sit and wait.

Today they said he was starting to measure big.
[Stephen was 10-5 ... I don't want to deliver a 10 lb baby!]
Thankfully my doctors will induce at 39 weeks
so unless he comes soon we'll be evicting him
from his cozy little home in 11 days!

Movin Quick

Mary Beth is doing great with her walking.
I thought I'd post a new video so you can see her progress.
She'll be running before we know it.

Grandparent Weekend #1

This weekend was the first of two grandparent weekends.
My parents and my Granny came to stay with Mary Beth and I
while Stephen was gone on the Youth's fall retreat.

chillin with Granddaddy

random picture of Mary Beth watching TV
(It was just funny so I grabbed the camera - she has
never been that interested but apparently she really
liked the song that lady was singing.)

"me and my Granny"

"I took them outside and showed them how to play"

"Grandmother brought me a pumpkin"

"just playin..."

"then it was time for bed"

Next weekend Stephen's parents will be in town...
(well, hopefully, if they can find gas between here and Jacksonville)
so I'll try to post pictures from Grandparent weekend #2 next Sunday.

Walking better every day...

It is amazing to see how Mary Beth is progressing with her walking. The record is 20 steps but more exciting is that she is trying it more and more.

How much life has changed in 1 year...

It is crazy to think about how much life has changed in the past year.

One year ago...
...we started a blog
...we had a five week old daughter who slept, ate and pooped
...we were the most clueless new parents ever =)
...I was working my last week at the Center for Youth Ministry
...Stephen was enjoying his last week of summer vacation (as a teacher) and dreaming about his new job at Anderson Mill
...we were saying goodbye to students at Ninth and O Baptist Chruch
...we were packing up to move from Louisville to Spartanburg
...we had no clue what adventure God had waiting for us

A year later...
... I sit and read back through a year of posts and reminisce
... we have a full blown toddler who walks and talks, and another baby on the way
...we still feel like clueless parents sometimes =) but at least we know some basics
... I stay at home and play all day
...Stephen has been very successful working with middle school students and is launching a new ministry for Preteens next week
...we are buying a house - yay for first time home buyers!
...we are "home" at AMRBC - and can't imagine life without this family
...we look back and realize that God has blessed us far beyond what we could have even dreamed about a year ago.

What has God done in your life in the past 12 months?
Leave some comments and let us know!

Looking back is good, but it is even more exciting to think about the future. God has blessed our family, our home, our ministry so much in the past year as we were faithful to his call... whatever He has planned for this next year - I'm ready!
