We had a great week at VBS last week.
I had a group of 6 3-year-olds. They were so sweet.
I got to work with my neighbor Deanna; she was awesome.

They enjoyed music time the best.

Mary Beth participated too -
she got spoiled in the nursery all night, every night.

Xan was a little nervous, but he did great!

Adventure with Aunt Beth

Beth came to visit this week while Stephen was in Puerto Rico. We had lots of fun just being around the house and running a few errands, a pretty relaxing week. We went to Zaxbys one night, went swimming, watched TV, put together a puzzle, went out for Mexican food, watched a movie and ate popcorn, and went on a picnic and out for snow cones.

Here are a few pics from our picnic:

Da-Da

We are celebrating fathers day today because Stephen is leaving for a mission trip on Saturday. Mary Beth started off the morning with the sweetest memory for Stephen's first Fathers Day - She said "Da-Da".
She has been babbling da-da for a few months in the midst of a long line of other "words" but this morning we walked in the bedroom and she looked at him, waved and said "Da-da" (clearly, all by itself) and gave the cutest smile. So its official, her first word is Daddy.

Happy Fathers Day!

Monday, June 9, 2008

We have had a lot of fun packed into the last few weeks so I thought I'd post some pics of our family outings.
We spent as much time with Stephen as we could this last month because summer is now in full swing with the student ministry and he will be super busy for the next 2 months.

Mary Beth and I at Hatcher Gardens (and Jackson too - notice the hump)

Falls Park, Greenville

Mary Beths first swim in Xan's kiddie pool.

Memorial Day - cookout and swimming

Daddy doesn't fit very well in the kiddie pool.

I like the big pool the best! Look at me swimming with Daddy!

Chillin on the porch after a long day swimmin

Baby Myles

Mary Beth has a new buddy!
Our friend Kameron went back to work this week and lets me hang out with her son, Myles, while she's at work. It's a perfect part-time gig for me while I still can stay at home with Mary Beth. He is a super sweet baby whose day consists of eating, playing for about 30 minutes, then sleeping. He is precious and I'm sure you'll see more pictures with him in the future.

Graduation

Its official - Stephen graduated! We got the diploma in the mail and everything! What else is there to do??? Throw a Party!
Lots of Stephen's family were able to come in town and hang out with us last weekend. We had a stop by reception type thingy at the church and then all the family came back to our house to have dinner and hang out for the evening.

I was kinda busy enjoying family in town and didn't even think about taking pictures - but here is a picture that Dad snapped on his camera.

Thanks to everyone that has sent cards and gifts -
we are so blessed by your generousity.

Its a BOY!!!

JACKSON COBB TIMMONS

Sorry the pictures are so tiny... we had issues scanning them in.

our little man!

he wasn't shy at all,
the technician said she would get all the boring stuff
and then look at the fun stuff,
but he spread wide open and it was the second shot she took!

tiny little foot!

I have been saying for the past couple months that I thought it was a boy and Stephen is excited about evening things out. We also received a great baby gift today - a huge tub of hand me down boy clothes! God is so good.

crawling... welll... a little bit

Mary Beth is finally getting it. Crawling is definitely not her favorite mode of transportation but she'll do it if you put enough cheerios out of reach. Hopefully she'll master it soon and I'll try to get a better video... but I thought you might enjoy watching my attempts to catch it on video.

Take 1 - crawling towards moms phone (notice the lay down and reach technique rather than just crawling a few more inches)

Take 2 - bribed with some cheerios....

Take 3 - she totally forgot that she was supposed to be crawling and decided to just talk , but I thought I'd add it anyway

Outtakes - yes, those are her very own "sound effects"

adventures in eating

While Mary Beth was eating lunch today she was so proud of her messy face so I had to grab the camera - then I realized that I hadn't posted about her eating habits in a while.

At her 9 month check up the pediatrician said she could have stage 3 baby foods and that we could start introducing table food too. Anything except fish and peanut products. She loves feeding herself (we've been doing those melt in your mouth self feeding things for a while) so we jumped right in. Her favorites so far are chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches, and macaroni and cheese.
Thats definitely my kid!

You can see all her bottom teeth in this pic. She has 3 more on top and 1 more about to pop through but I never seem to get pictures of them.

dance before the Lord with all your might...

Mary Beth loves to dance anytime music comes on. Sometimes she claps too but I didn't catch that on video. Her favorite song is the Happy Song by Chris Tomlin. We play it several times a day. You can kind of hear it in the background but its also on our playlist to the right.

Happy Song
(Chris Tomlin)

Well I could sing unending songs
Of how you saved my soul
And I could dance a thousand miles
Because of your great love

My heart is bursting Lord
To tell of all you've done
Of how You've changed my life
And wiped away the past

I want to shout it out
From every rooftop sing
For now I know
That God is for me, not against me

Everybody's singin' now
Cause we're so happy
Everybody's dancin' now
Cause we're so happy

If only I could see Your face,
See You smiling over us
Unseen angels celebrate
The joy is in this place
The joy is in this place

Well I could sing unending songs
Of how you saved my soul
And I could dance a thousand miles
Because of your great love
