Party Pics

It's Party Time!
She loves strawberries so we had a "bur" party.

First we had a coloring contest

Then Stephen read one of my favorite books
The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear

Its time for cake!

As I expected, she went straight for the strawberries,
shoving them in her mouth
(and then eventually played with her cake and ate a few bites)

Jackson had his first ever sweets and first real food this weekend.
Some icing and then fruit dip on a strawberry.
I thought he'd kinda lick the strawberry, but he really ate some and did great with it.

Mary Beth and her party guests

I don't think its possible to get 10 kids
under the age of 5 to all look at a camera,
but between these two pics we got everybody.

"ha - Bay - U"

... how Mary Beth sings "Happy Birthday to You"

This is the first of a few birthday posts dedicated to my baby.

Just a few minutes ago she was this big...

Calling all grocery shoppers!!!

I started to laugh at myself because in my head that sounded exactly like "Calling all super readers!" from Super Why on PBS... anyway...

(Well actually not all shoppers, but people in the Spartanburg area)

I have been looking for Strawberry candy. I'm specifically looking for the strawberry candies that are shaped like a strawberry and wrapped like a strawberry - like these...

I went to Food Lion yesterday, they didn't have them. I thought Wal-mart, who devotes an entire aisle to a million different candies, would have them for sure - but no.

So if anyone happens to be on there normal shopping trips and finds some, please let me know where. I'd rather not spend the next few days going in and out of 10 more stores just find something so silly.

Thanks a bunch!

Fun on/around the Fourth

We've been getting caught up on Daddy time this week!
Lots of fun, family activities!

Meeting Friends to Play!

Collin and Mary Beth!
Future Love Connection???
If they end up getting married...
I think this picture should go on the invitations.

Funopolis in Commerce, GA

Picnic!

Good Friends, Good Conversation

Swimming!

Look at those big muscles =)

She loved swimming last year, so we really didn't expect this...

Jackson (first time swimming) LOVED it.

A little more secure with a float and floaties =)

Cold and Tired.

We hope you and your family had a happy 4th!

(Yes, he's only 9 months and as big as Mary Beth!)

little road trip

While Stephen was gone on a mission trip with our student choir last week, my parents came up. One day we took a little trip up to Lake Lure, played, looked around, walked the boardwalk, at lunch, went over to see Chimney Rock and then headed home.
Here are a few pics from our outing.

As the observant people noticed, Jackson is absent from pictures.
He was with us but it just so happened that he was very happily asleep
in the air condition of the truck when I had the camera out -
so I didn't disturb him.

Toddler Tuesday

Mary Beth is finally blowing bubbles on her own. We have been practicing so she can blow out her candles next week for her birthday!

Jackson's Black n White

We had Jackson's official baby photo shoot last week
and I am thrilled with the pictures.

Getting 2 children under 2 to look at a camera can be difficult. So we took full advantage of having a real photographer to help us. While she was here, we got a few sibling shots, a few silly shots, and a few family shots too.
Here are some of the best!

A HUGE Thank You to Amy Gans - Blessing Photography.
You were so accommodating and patient with us.
We are blessed to know you.

Toddler Tuesday

Oh how she loves her paci...
What's better than one paci?

Finding a way to use 3 at one time!

Its gonna be rough at the end of the summer when all the pacis in our house disappear.
We have narrowed it down to only naptime and bedtime but I like the security of having an instant happy pill for her if I need it. Giving up the paci might be harder on me than on her.

Bathtime

I noticed that I haven't shown any bath pictures... well, since this one...

Jackson enjoys bathtime much more than he did those first few weeks.

He splashes and plays so much that it took forever to get a picture actually smiling at me.
